MIGO Rhinoplasty | Low Nose Correction

MIGO Rhinoplasty | Low Nose Correction

<before surgery>

You may consider low nose correction if you...

1. have low nose bridge
→ flat looking face due to low nose bridge can be enhanced by low nose correction.

2. have low nose tip
→ correcting the nose tip alone can make the entire nose look more elevated. Partial nose bridge correction along with heightening the nose tip completes the naturally heightened appearance of the nose.

3. have low nose bridge between the eyes.
→ low nose bridge between the eyes make the entire face look flat. Enhancing the area alone can bring about a significant change to the entire face.

4. are not confident about the way you look on the side.
→ correcting low nose bridge can enhance the appearance of the entire face from the side. If you have been avoiding taking picture from the side due to low nose bridge, this is the right procedure for you.

East Asians often have low nose bridge in between the eyes and have round nose tip and alar cartilage. Some people prefer this shape due to the "cute appearance" they get, but it can also make the face look flat. At Migo, we find the best proportion of the nose to your face, taking the proportion of the forehead, nose, and chin into consideration for a more sophisticated look. Low nose correction procedures may bring different outcomes depending on who operates it. Careful consultation and choosing the right surgeon before the surgery is crucial.

Surgical Method for Low Nose Correction

Low nose correction is one of the most basic rhinoplasty procedures. Often times, the nose bridge is heightened by implant materials, while autologous cartilage is inserted in the tip of the nose.

Types of Implant Material Used for Low Nose Correction

Silicone
Silicone is one of the most frequently used materials. It enables the most precise shaping of the material and it doesn't change the shape over time nor is it absorbed inside the body.

Autologous Cartilage
→ Ear Cartilage: Ear cartilage is among the most commonly used autologous cartilage. It is easily obtained and leaves no scarring. It is mainly used for nose tip correction.
→Septal Cartilage: Septal cartilage is collected from inside the nostril and is used for supporting the nose bridge.
Chest Cartilage: Chest cartilage is collected when ear and septal cartilage are not enough. It is used for the correction of severely low nose and for revisional rhinoplasty procedures.

Autologous Skin Tissue
Autologous skin tissues are collected from the buttocks, tailbones, and around the groins to raise the nose bridge for patients with extremely thin skin.

Nose correction
How Migo Does It Differently

1. Safe and proven implant products
→ Any implant materials used at Migo are proven and safe to be used for human body; it is registered and approved by the KFDA (Korean Food and Drug Administration).

2. A three-dimensional face from a flat face
→ Correcting the nose alone can make the entire face look three dimensional from any angle.

3. A rhinoplasty procedure that considers the balance of the entire face
→ Low nose correction at Migo considers the proportion of the nose between the forehead, in between the eyes, and the chin to create a three-dimensional face. One procedure enhances the appearance of the forehead, maxillary bone, and chin simultaneously along with the nose.

4. An enhanced result that looks like you never had any work done
→ The finished result will be so natural that nobody would suspect you had any work done.

5. Fast recovery
→ Minimal swelling and bruising leads to fast recovery.
