Ptosis gives the eyes the appearance of sleepiness, and makes the patient to excessively strain the muscles above the eyebrows in order to get better vision, which in turn, leads to premature wrinkling on the forehead area. In most cases, ptosis correction is done by making an incision on the eyelid. The levator muscle (the muscle involved in opening and closing the eyes on the eyelid) is being tied or shortened to strengthen the power of opening the eyes afterwards.
Surgery Information:
30 to 40 minutes of surgery duration
Local anesthesia
Same day discharge
Stitch removal in 5 to 7 days
1 to 2 Weeks Recovery Period
Listed below are the advantages of creaseless ptosis correction:
1. Strengthens the eye muscles, which prevent excessive frowning in order to secure vision.
2. Same day discharge
3. Lasting effect
4. Fast recovery
5. Improvement of small, droopy eyes without making drastic changes aesthetically
You may consider incisional ptosis correction if you:
1. want bigger eyes with more definition.
2. Have sagging, and droopy eyelids.
3. Put too much strain on the eyes in order to keep them open.
4. Have excessive fat deposit on the eyelid.
The patient featured in the photo had creaseless ptosis correction done at Migo. Although she doesn't have any creases (double eyelid), her eyes are big, and defined without compromising her appearance dramatically.
