Lower lid fat redistribution procedures remove, or redistribute the fat deposit on the lower lid for patients who have severe dark circles around the eyes that create tired appearance.
Surgical method for lower lid blepharoplasty:
The area to be operated is approached via conjunctiva. Minimal incision is made on the area to remove and redistribute the lower lid fat deposit. The orbital septum, which covers the fat, is straightened out, and fixed below the periosteum.
Persistent dark circles can be removed by this procedure while restoring the firmness in the area. It is one of the quickest procedures that renders lasting results which in turn, allows patients to save tremendous effort and time they put into covering them with makeup.
The patient in the photo has received lower lid fat redistribution, incisional ptosis correction, epicanthoplasty, hooked nose correction, and fat grafting on the forehead. Notice how the lower lid significantly is smoother, and brighter in the picture on the right.
