[Eyes:Blepharoplasty] Double Eyelid Surgery Using Suture Technique
The eyes are the most important part of the face when it comes to making first impressions. Attractive eyes can give one more advantages when it comes to social interactions by boosting confidence. Eyelid surgeries have become quite common, and more and more people get it without much hesitation. Unlike in the past, it is much easier to get the surgery done without looking like you've had one.
One of the most common questions we get at our clinic is the one regarding the difference between incisional versus suture technique.
To put it simply, suture technique creates double eyelid without cutting the skin or tissue. Our procedure at Migo minimizes the chances of the loosening of the eyelid line by our surgeons' expertise in looping and tying the medical thread being used in this technique.
You may consider double eyelid procedure with suture technique if you:
Those who have thin eyelid with less subcutaneous fat in the area.
Double eyelid only on one eye
Those who need correction due to the differing size of double eyelids on each side
Those who have double eyelids that disappear often.
Multiple lines of eyelid
Those who want bigger eyelids
The suture technique will cause less swelling after the surgery and will require less time to recover, because the thread will be removed within two to five days. This allows the patient to return to their normal lives faster.
Time required for the surgical procedure using the suture technique is 10 to 30 mins. This is a procedure frequently preferred by office employees. The biggest advantage of suture technique is being able to expect a result that looks natural within 2 to 3 weeks, because it won't cause scarring after the surgery.
