[Eyes: Blepharoplasty] Revisional Double Eyelid Surgery

Revisional surgeries for the eyes are typically done in cases where there are problems with the previous surgery, or when the patient is not satisfied with the outcome of it.









The frequent causes of revisional surgeries are asymmetry, falling of the double eyelid line, eyelid lines that were previously done that doesn't look natural in the face. It is important to consult with an experienced surgeon to prevent another revisional surgery.


Revisional plastic surgery for the eyes can be done at least 6 months after in case incisions are made, and 3 months after if no incisions were made. The reason for the time frame is to wait out to see the final outcome until after the swelling is completely gone. The surgeon then can assess the problems correctly and plan the surgery accordingly.
