To help prospective patients who want to get rhinoplasty, we decided to share a list of things patients need to follow before, and on the day of surgery. Following are the instructions we give to our patients who came to our clinic for rhinoplasty procedures. Adhering to the advice given will minimize the risk of complication during the surgery, and make the process convenient for both the surgeon and the patient.
<Before the Surgery>
Do not drink from 3 days before the surgery.
Communicate with the surgeon if there's any medication you are taking at the moment
Let the surgeon know if there's any allergy, or sensitivity to medication. Also communicate if you are currently suffering from any disease, and/or if you've been hospitalized in the past.
<Surgery Day>
Fast from 5 hours before the surgery (including from water, chewing gum and tobacco)
Bring containers for contact lenses if you wear them.
Arrive with a clean face without any makeup.
Bring a broad brimmed hat.
Remove nail polish before arriving at the clinic.
Do not bring any valuables.
Rhinoplasty procedures at Migo are performed by Dr. Kang Euntaek. Dr. Kang is a board certified plastic surgeon, who has extensive experience in plastic surgery from having performed more than hundreds of surgeries. He has a published study, titled " Corrective Rhinoplasty for Deviated Nose a new Osteotomy Technique" , and has collaborated on many academic and medical articles. Dr. Kang is currently an adjunct professor in the department of plastic surgery at Ewha Women's University Medical Center.
