[Patient Diary] Non-Incisional Double Eyelid and Epicanthoplasty (10 Days Later)
In this series of blogposts of Patient Diary, we're going to share the recovery progress of a patient who had a non incisional double eyelid and epicanthoplasty procedure. The patient featured in this post was concerned with the wide distance between the eyes and the eyes appearing to be too small. This post will present pictures of the patient before and right after, and ten days after the surgery.
<Before the Surgery>
Mongolian folds, otherwise known as epicanthal folds are quite common among Asians. They make the space between the eyes to appear wider. This patient also wanted her eyes to appear bigger by getting a double eyelid surgery. Opting for a shorter recovery time and natural outcome, she has chosen the non-incisional method for the double eyelid procedure.
<10 Days Later>
One of the merits of non-incisional double eyelid procedure is faster recovery time. Note that there are no redness or swollenness although it's only been ten days since she had the surgery. Thanks to the epicanthoplasty, her eyes appear wider, and the distance between the eyes have become a bit narrower.
