Hooked nose correction procedures remove the bump by carefully cutting off the protruding bone/cartilage on the bridge of the nose. An implant material will be inserted in addition, if the middle of the forehead appears sunken.
Incisions are made on the inside of the nose, or in between the nostrils. Although cutting the bump off alone can improve the appearance, some patients get silicone or autoglous cartilage implanted to make the nose look more balanced. Dr. Kang Euntaek (in house surgeon, rhinoplasty) will determine if the patient needs extra implants along with osteotomy (cutting the bones) with 3D-CT imaging.
You may consider hooked nose correction if you:
Have a nasal bump
Are concerned with bumpy nose bridge
