Migo Clinic Plastic Surgery - Get the Surgeon You Are Promised With

Recently, a South Korean news article revealed that one of the top five major hospitals have been caught hiring non board certified doctors to operate on patients. This means that the doctor that the patients met before the surgery wasn't the same person who conducted the surgery. Now the police are investigating this case. The dean of the hospital is also summoned to the prosecutor's office.

Some clinics hire shadow surgeons to operate on patients to save costs, and book more customers.  Our staff and surgeons at Migo condemn this type of behaviors, and we put the safety of our patients as a top priority.

We would like to present to you the three reasons why you can be free from worries at Migo regarding safety, including shadow surgeons, and medical accidents.

First, all our surgeons are board certified surgeons, each surgeon with his own area of specialization.  In order to be a board certified surgeon in South Korea, they need to graduate from the university to participate in the national qualification exam. They can become general practitioners at this point, but in order to have specialization, they must participate as an intern for a year at an university hospital, then four years of residency. After this process, they may participate in the exam to become a specialist in their feild. All of our surgeons are specialists. Secondly, our clinic is smaller in size with the surgeons who have more than at least ten years of experience their own area of specialty. This keeps surgeons to focus and hone their skills in the particular area. Dr. Ko is in charge of eyes, and facelift. Dr. Kang's area of specialty is rhinoplasty. Dr. Yoon is responsible mammoplasty (breasts). We also have an in-house anesthesiologist, who are ready to deal with emergencies.

Last but not least, due to meticulous care, and careful planning, our clinic has been free of medical accidents for 18 years. To assure your safety, each surgery room is equipped with surveilance camera. Video footages, or pictures of operation to verify the surgeon are given upon requests.

Our clinic is a partner with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). Our doctors provide answers on Naver's question forum. Naver is a South Korea's leading search engine. They have a forum where readers can freely ask questions and seek medical advice. In this forum, only actual practitioners are allowed to provide answers to health related questions.
