[Nose:Rhinoplasty] Deviated Nasal Bridge Correction
Aside from aesthetic point of view, deviated nose can cause functional problems such as difficulty in breathing. Deviated nose correction is performed along with a rhinoplasty procedure to correct the outer nasal cartilage, and/or the alar base cartilage. It may require osteotomy (surgical procedure of cutting the bones) of the nasal bones.
There are multiple causes to deviated nasal bridge, the primary one being external physical shock from accidents.
You may consider deviated nasal bridge correction if you:
Have nasal bridge that looks deviated
Have nostrils that seem to be in asymmetry
Have crooked nasal bridge from an accident
Have deviated nasal bridge formed from nasal implant after a rhinoplasty procedure
Experience functional discomfort due to deviated nasal bridge
