Surgery Method for Revisional Rhinoplasty by Concerns
Nose Bridge that Appears Deviated
Existing implant is removed and a new implant made with customized design is inserted in the exact same spot to create a straight nose bridge.
Upturned Nose caused by Capsular Contracture
Upturned nose caused by capsular contracture of the implant is corrected by treating the infection inside the nose first and removing the silicone membrane formed around the implant afterwards. If the nose has become shortened, the length of the nose is restored by using autologous tissues and cartilage.
Infection After the Surgery
It is important to remove the implant as soon as possible if the operated area has become infected. The area is disinfected and a newly customized implant is inserted.
Moving Implant Material
The previously inserted material is removed and a new implant is inserted under the periosteum to be fastened. If the periosteum is damaged, goretex or autologous cartilage is used to fasten the implant material rather than silicone.
